Through critical analysis of CCTV video imagery we identify fixed landmarks that the vehicle passed. We take accurate ground measurements during field visits to measure the distance the vehicle travelled. We accurately determination the time between video images, the frame rate, to establish the time taken for the vehicle to move between the landmarks.
Having both the time taken to travel between the landmarks and distance travelled the speed of the vehicle is calculated.
In previous cases we have used fixed CCTV from private dwellings, shops, banks etc., and from City CCTV cameras that pan tilt and zoom, to dashcams and CCTV installed in buses and fire engines.
We undertake preliminary assessment for free. We offer a free initial consultation, agree the scope of the work to keep down costs, advise clients on progress, and produce jury friendly reports and give evidence in Court.
